NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of New Shoreham Zoning Board of Review will be in session at the Town Hall, Old Town Road on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 5:00 PM for a regular meeting.  
All persons interested will be heard for or against the granting of the following Applications/appeals under the Zoning Ordinances:
    •    Island Enterprises, Inc. Plat 8, Lot 84-6. Appeal of correspondence from the Building Official dated June 6, 2016.
    •    Island Marine Corp. Plat 5 Lot 66. Application for a Special Use Permit under Section 312, Section 401, and Section 408 and a Variance from Section 408 (2), and Section 502 (A)(6) for addition of second floor to an existing cottage for employee housing.

Transfer Applications for Beverage (Liquor) License
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Chapter 2013 of the Public Laws of Rhode Island, approved in April 1956 as amended, that the following application for a transfer of Beverage License has been made to the New Shoreham Town Clerk as follows:
Transfer of Class BVL Liquor License
•    Transfer from Pizza Plus of Block Island, Inc., d/b/a Papa’s Pizzeria, Corn Neck Road, Plat 6, Lot 134 to Block Island Pizza Pie Company, LLC,  Member: Kevin Finnegan, Corn Neck Road, Plat 6, Lot 134
Before acting on the foregoing application, the Board of License Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall, Old Town Road, at which time remonstrants are entitled to be heard before the granting of said licenses.

NEW SHOREHAM SCHOOL DEPARTMENT
BLOCK ISLAND SCHOOL
The New Shoreham School Department hereby requests sealed bid proposals for the following services for the 2017-2018 school year (may consider proposals for up to three years).
Lawn Maintenance
Information is available on the above bids by calling the Block Island School, 401-466-7732, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Sealed bid proposals, in an envelope clearly marked “2017-2018 School Bid”, will be received on behalf of the New Shoreham School Committee by Marsha Gutierrez, Administrative Assistant, Block Island School, High Street, P.O. Box 1890, Block Island, Rhode Island 02807 until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Sealed bid proposals will be received by U.S. mail, Federal Express, UPS, or similar third party carrier, or by hand-delivery, but not by electronic means.
All accepted contracts will run from July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018.  The New Shoreham School Committee (NSSC) reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids deemed to be not in the best interest of the New Shoreham School Department (NSSD).  The NSSC reserves the right to reject any bid not submitted in accordance with the provisions set forth herein and may waive any informalities and all bids.  Conditional bids will not be accepted.  Further, the NSSC does not obligate itself to accept the lowest or any other bids.

The New Shoreham School Committee, at its meeting held on Monday, May 15, 2017, approved the posting of the following policy for the required 20-day period prior to adoption:
