Position Title: Administrative Assistant II
FLSA Status: Non-exempt 25 hours per week (Monday-Friday) Temporary Position
Department: Administration
Supervisor: Town Manager
Salary: Grade E $15.46-$22.34 with No Benefits
Position Purpose: Provide a wide range of secretarial and administrative support services to the Town Manager while maintaining the utmost level of professionalism and confidentiality. Responsibilities include facilitating the administrative needs of the Manager, answering phones, scheduling meetings, compiling and maintaining records within an organized filing system, ordering supplies, preparing correspondence, and communicating at all levels under the Manager's purview.
Education: Bachelor degree preferred in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills: Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Superior written and oral communications skills with business writing experience. Strong organizational skills. Ability to effectively interact with many levels of government.
Experience: 5 years of high level administrative work preferred.
Special Job Requirements: Confidential position requiring strictest level of concern for dissemination of any information to or from the Manager's office. This is a non-union position and temporary in nature.
