And the winner is...
The following was submitted by Block Island School art teacher Lisa Robb:
Everyone was feeling hot, hot, hot thanks to the tasty chili that was available for sampling at this year’s BIS ChiliFest Competition.
With 16 different chilies to try, the competition was diverse and intense. But, this year’s winner brought in a secret weapon (well, not so secret anymore). It’s no surprise that bacon-sausage makes great award-winning chili.
Thank you, Lisa Sprague, for exposing us to such a fantastic ingredient. Also, a huge thank you to our other winners, the McQuaides (second place) and Phil Walsh (third place) and to all the chili competitors for generous and delicious dishes. Most of all, a very special thank you to all the patrons who came out and supported the Ceramics Department and our students.
We’ll see you all next year!
