Block Island Times seeks director of sales
THERE ARE NO LIMITS ON BLOCK ISLAND!
The Block Island Times is looking for a dynamic salesperson to help our partners on-Island and on the mainland share their messages to our loyal readers all year long. You’ll be meeting with on-island and mainland businesses with advertising campaigns in print and online face to face, by email and over the phone.
You need to be a believer in The Times, and be able to share the benefits of our products to people you know — and don't know yet.
You'll be joining a great staff who will want you to succeed, and will help you get there. You should be good with people and work well independently as well as part of a team.
Previous sales experience is essential, advertising sales preferred. You should be technically adept, with experience with Word, Excel and the ability to pick up other software skills as needed (Indesign would be helpful). This is 12-month, full-time position, but other arrangements may be negotiable. Hours are flexible — it's performance that counts. We offer a competitive salary, commission and bonuses. You'll get full benefits, and housing is available, too.
