Common Ground Coffeehouse
Common Ground Coffeehouse on Friday, May 13, will present a jazz piano and vocal concert by Sarah Brindell in the Harbor Church sanctuary at 7 p.m. Brindell is associate professor of songwriting at the Berklee School of Music in Boston. A complimentary chili supper will be served at 6:30. Admission to the concert will be by donation.
Tai Chi Class
Internationally acclaimed Maedée Duprès, leads “The Transformative Healing Power of Tai Chi,” Saturday, June 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Parish Center. Open to the public and therapists. No prior knowledge required. Other instructors are Tom Hobin and Faith Gregor. Cost is $125 and $75 for students and includes lunch. The Helping Hands Food Pantry will be open every other Wednesday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Harbor Church. The final open date is Wednesday, May 18.

Motorcycle Safety Course
The Recreation Department would like to bring a motorcycle safety course to the island. The course is given by CCRI, and is 16.5 hours over two days. If enough people are interested, the class may be held in May or early June. Call the Recreation Department office at 466-3223.

Mason's Movers Benefit Dinner
Join us for dinner on Friday, May 13, at 5 p.m. at the Poor People's Pub to help raise funds for the MDA in honor of our favorite mac n' cheese enthusiast, Mason Miro. We will be donating 10% of our dinner sales to the cause--the more you eat, the more we raise! There will be live music by some familiar faces at 10pm as well as some impressive raffle prizes.
