Common Ground Coffeehouse
On Friday, July 15, at 7 p.m. Common Ground Coffeehouse will present Cameron Greenlee in concert on the piano in the Harbor Church sanctuary. This will be An Evening of Bop, Swing & Music from the Early Days of Jazz. A complimentary supper will be served in the fellowship hall at 6:30 p.m. Donations for the musician will be encouraged.
Old Harbor Walking Tour
Join the Block Island Historical Society for a walking tour of Old Harbor. Hear about its facts and myths. Meet at Rebecca’s Statue, 10 a.m., Thursdays all summer. Tickets are $10 and are available at the Historical Society Museum in advance or the day of the event.

Block Island Farmers’ Market runs every Wednesday and Saturday all season. The Wednesday market is on The Spring House lawn and the Saturday market is at Legion Park. Both are from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Art Night At The Museum
Every Thursday all summer from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Block Island Historical Society. This is a free event.

The Not New Boutique will be open on Wednesdays in July and August from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Andrew Parish Center.

Full Moon Cruise
There will be a Full Moon Cruise to celebrate conservation and the 25th anniversary of The Nature Conservancy’s Block Island office. A sunset and full moonrise cruise around the island from 6:30 to 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19. Adults $25 and children under 12 are free. Meet at the Old Harbor ferry dock.
Evening of Improv
Stand-up comedian and author Matt Bellace is hosting an improv and stand-up comedy workshop. Learn how to tell a good joke or story in front of others. Seventh grade and up. Wednesday, July 20, Fred Benson Beach Pavilion, 8:30 p.m. Free.
Blues On The Block
Blues on the Block will be on Wednesday, July 20, at 6 p.m. at the Town Beach Pavilion. The band that will be playing is Four Barrel Billy presented by the Block Island Residents Association.

Barbershop Quartet Festival
The Barbershop Quartet Festival is on Saturday, July 23, at 8 p.m. at St. Andrew Church on Chapel St. There will be four men and womens quartets and a Barbershop Chorus. Tickets are $20 and are available at the Red Bird Package Store and Island Bound Bookstore.
Arts & Crafts Guild Fair
There is an Arts and Crafts Guild Fair on Sunday, July 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the lawn of the Historical Society.
American Legion Picnic
Merrill Slate Post 36 Block Island is having its annual Family Picnic on Sunday, July 24, from noon to 3 p.m. at Legion Park on West Side Rd. Great food, entertainment, and all you can eat. $12 per person and kids eat free. All active military are free.
B.I. Gardeners Annual Meeting
The B.I. Gardeners are having thier annual meeting on Tuesday, July 26, at 3 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Parish Center. The guest speaker is Dr. Rebecca Brown, Asst. Professor of Plant Sciences and Entolmology at URI, who will present “Improving productivity through building soil health and extending the gardening season.” All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

There is a night Sky Viewing on Friday, July 29, at 9 p.m. at the Hodge Preserve. Bring insect repellant, blanket and/or beach chair for your comfort. Program will be the following night if sky conditions are poor.
