Common Ground Coffeehouse
Island chanteuse Virginia Dare returns to the Common Ground Coffeehouse on Friday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m. accompanied by Snorri, a quick-witted orangutan, in a program that is sure to be hilarious as well as musical. A complimentary dinner is served beginning at 6:30 p.m. No charge for the show, but donations are encouraged.

The Not New Boutique is open every Wednesday in Aug. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Andrew Parish Center.
Block Island Farmers’ Market runs every Wednesday and Saturday all season. The Wednesday market is on The Spring House lawn and the Saturday market is at Legion Park. Both are from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

Jazz Up Old Harbor Parks

Lions Club Clambake
The Lions Club Annual Clambake is on Saturday, Sept. 3, from 1 to 4 p.m. on the lawn of the Narraganssett Inn. Tickets are $40 for the Clambake or $20 for the BBQ. There will be live music, a raffle, and lots of great food.
