Tuesdays from 5 to 7 p.m., the Island Free Library will be holding Power Hours for Scholars. Staff will be on hand to supervise and facilitate research, monitor group projects, and answer basic comprehension questions. Free pizza!
Fun activities after school every Friday at the Island Free Library at 1 p.m. A different activity every week like Legos, Arts and Crafts, Board Games, and STEM projects.

Family Support Group
NAMI Block Island invites anyone living with a person who is living with mental illness to participate in the monthly gathering of a support group of people in similar situations. Meet Saturday, Nov 4, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Island Free Library. Led by trained locals dealing with these issues in their own families.
“Minute to Win it”
Do you have what it takes to beat the clock? Saturday, Nov. 4, at 5 p.m. the 6 through 12 graders are invited to the Island Free Library for a “Minute to Win it” party! Lots of games and sure to be lots of laughs as well! Refreshments will be served. Hope to see you there!

The Wellness Coalition is sponsoring a parenting program by psychologist and author Matt Bellace on “What are screens doing to the teen brain?” Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at the B.I. School.
There is a free Grief Support Group every other Tuesday afternoon. The next session will be held on Nov. 7, at 4 p.m. at the Community Center meeting room.

The annual Thanksgiving Shopping stroll is on Friday, Nov. 24 to Sunday, Nov. 26, at various location around town. Check with the Block Island Chamber of Commerce for participating Stores and Restaurants.
Run or walk off your Thanksgiving Feast with the annual 5K Turkey Trot on Saturday, Nov. 25. The race kicks off at 1 p.m. at the Fred Benson State Beach.
