Blackstone Valley Polar Express
Welcome aboard a ninety-minute magical train journey from Woonsocket to the North Pole! Children of all ages will be delighted with the reading of the book The Polar Express, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Clause, a holiday sing-a-long, and a special Holiday remembrance while enjoying hot chocolate and cookies. Tree Lighting and Open House
The waterfront will be bathed in holiday lights as the Christmas season begins in Newport! Frosty the Snowman arrives at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Christmas Carol Sing-a-long at 5 p.m. A Newport city official lights the thirty-foot tree at 6 p.m., immediately followed by Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving by boat (weather permitting) or by sleigh.
