On The Block
Fun activities after school every Friday at the Island Free Library at 1 p.m. A different activity every week like Legos, arts and crafts, board games, and STEM projects.
Tuesdays from 5 to 7 p.m., the Island Free Library will be holding “Power Hours for Scholars.” Staff will be on hand to supervise and facilitate research, monitor group projects, and answer basic comprehension questions. Free pizza!
Lunch Bunch is held every Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at the Community Center.
Free Artist Studio Space

The Island Free Library will be hosting a weekly Gay-Straight Alliance Social Hour at 5 p.m. every Friday, all ages are welcome.
Letters to Santa
Santa Claus will have a special mailbox in the lobby of the Post Office from Monday, Nov. 20, to Wednesday, Dec. 18, for kids who wish to send a letter to the North Pole. Please make sure you include your return address so Santa can write you back before Christmas!
Tuesday Night Winter Markets & Stroll
McAloon’s and the Island Free Library will be hosting Tuesday Night Winter Markets in December from 5 to 7 p.m. Various vendors from the Farmers Market will be selling their goods. (McAloon’s will be closed for dinner). Also Many Shops in town will be open for the Tuesday Night Shopping Strolls. Come do some last minute Holiday shopping!

Common Ground Coffeehouse
Friday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m., after the Library party, Common Ground Coffeehouse will present Dave Richardson, a folk singer-songwriter based in Vermont who weaves together threads of folk, country, and traditional music. Complimentary chili and hot dog supper served beginning 6:30 p.m.
Family Support Group
NAMI Block Island offers a support group for anyone in a household with a person living with mental illness. The group will meet Saturday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m. in the lower level of the Island Free Library. Facilitators are trained peers who are living with similar situations.
Christmas Tree Sale
The BIVFD is having their annual Christmas Tree sale on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Fire Barn.If you are not going to be on the island that day call and reserve your tree 401 466-3220.
