Farmers Markets will be on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at The Spring House.

Royal Bruce Montgomery: Celebrating A Life Well Lived

Saturday, Sept. 15 from 3 to 6 p.m. at  Block Island Maritime Institute. Dress code is casual. Anyone too formal may be turned away! A bunch of people walking around in black is the last thing R.B.M. would want, expect or tolerate. A showing of Bruce’s art work will be on display.

International Coastal Beach Clean Up

Sunday, Sept. 16 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Meet at Town Beach for bags then head off to clean your favorite beach.

Block Island Historical Society

Sunday, Sept. 16. BIHS will have its annual meeting at The Spring House Hotel. Light breakfast at 10:30 a.m., meeting at 11 a.m. Program and slide show on the ‘38 Hurricane at 11:30 a.m.

Block Island Residents Association

The BIRA annual meeting will be held Sunday, Sept. 16 at 4 p.m. at the Block Island Maritime Institute Center.

Block Island Lions Club

September Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. at the Exeter Country Club. Block Island Ecumenical Choir

Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Harbor Church, rehearsals for the fall concert will begin. All who love to sing are welcome to join.

Trip Around the Island Aboard the Jessica W

The Wronowski family, Block Island Express, Dead Eye Dick’s and Finn’s would like to invite all Block Island residents and businesses to its annual Open House and trip around Block Island aboard the Jessica W on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 3 - 6 p.m. (departing at 4 p.m.) Food and refreshments provided by Dead Eye Dick’s, Finn’s and Cross Sound Deli.
