Friday, Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. at Island Bound Bookstore, author Lars Trodson will be reading from his newly published short story, “The Christmas Traveler.”
Tuesday Nights Shopping Stroll and Winter Market
Tuesday nights until Christmas, many shops throughout town will be open, including the Winter Market at the Island Free Library, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. at the Community Center. Lunch Bunch is cancelled for Tuesday, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 because of the holidays. It will resume on Jan. 8.

Shred It and Forget It
On Saturday, Dec. 15 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. (rain or shine) a free paper shredding and recycling event will take place at Town Hall. Residents can drive up to the secure shredding truck provided by Affordable Shredding and safely dispose of unneeded or sensitive documents that contain personal information.
Santa At The Fire Barn
Santa will arrive on Sunday, Dec. 16 and visit between 11:30 a.m and 1 p.m. Children fourth grade and under invited.
Ecumenical Christmas Concert
Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. at the Harbor Baptist Church.
Letters to Santa
Santa Claus will have a special mailbox in the lobby of the Post Office until Wednesday, Dec. 20, for kids who wish to send a letter to the North Pole. Please make sure you include your return address so Santa can write you back before Christmas.
