The Nature Conservancy & Block Island Conservancy
The TNC and BIC co-sponsor free, guided nature programs on Block Island throughout the year. Together, they offer many different ways to connect to the fields, marshes, and beaches that make the island so exceptional. Check out the advertisement on page 13.
Dodge Street Nightmarket
Join Dodge Street businesses Thursday evenings for shopping and entertainment offerings geared toward all ages and families. Games, stories, and workshops, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Not New Boutique
Open every Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Andrew Parish Center, Spring Street, lower level and barn. Good clean used clothing, shoes, and hats at great prices! Accepting donations throughout the summer at the drop-off box at the Parish Center. Please no household items.
Farmers Markets will be on Wednesdays, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at The Spring House and Saturdays, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Legion Park for the rest of the summer.
Photoshop Classes On Island

SoundWaves Movie Night
Tuesday, July 2. The movie “National Treasure” will be playing at the Fred Benson Town Beach Pavilion starting at 8:15 p.m.
Fourth of July Parade, Fireworks, and Steak Fry
The Double Ender Committee is proud to present this year’s fireworks display and Fourth of July parade. The Fireworks will be held at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3. The parade will be held on Thursday, July 4 and will step off at 11 a.m. at Legion Park. This year’s theme is “Your Favorite TV Show.” Fire and Rescue Steak Fry is at the Fire Barn starting at 12:30 p.m. Anyone interested in participating in the parade with a float should meet in front of The Oar at 9:30 a.m. the day of the parade. Anyone interested in supporting the parade can send a donation to: The Double Ender Committee, Box 808, Block Island, R.I. 02807.
NAMI BI Family Support Group
Saturday, July 6 in the Island Free Library Room C, from 10 to 11.30 a.m. Anyone with a close friend or family member who is affected by living with mental illness is welcome. There is no commitment required, just see if the support helps.
Visit with a Gardener Program
The Block Island Gardeners are hosting a community event, “Visit with a Gardener” on Tuesday, July 9 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the home of Penny and Will Young, Elephant Hill, on Center Road (between Beach Avenue and Legion Park). Enjoy meeting the Youngs and viewing their unique Block Island garden. The event is free and refreshments will be served. Any questions, please contact Maude at (401) 466-5676. Lions Club Golf Tournament
The Block Island Lions Club Golf Tournament is on Monday, July 15 at Richmond Country Club. $100 per player includes: boat ticket, breakfast voucher on the boat, 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch, and one drink ticket at the clubhouse.
