The Island Free Library invites everyone to participate in the programs listed be-

Library Hours: The Library will remain open for in-person browsing. Tuesdays 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Please remember face masks are required while visiting the library.
*** KIDS’ PROGRAMS ***
Tuesdays: Take & Make Craft Kits for preschoolers are available for pick-up.
Tuesdays: 10:30 a.m. Music Time with Ms. Carrie, Ages 6 months to 5 years old. Join us on Facebook or in person.
Tuesdays: 6 p.m. Dungeons and Dragons. Grades 6 through 12 are invited to come to play or learn.
Thursday: 10:30 a.m. Preschool Storytime for ages 3 to 5 years with Ms. Morgan. Read, sing, dance and play! Join us on Facebook or in person.
Fridays: 10:30 a.m. Healthy Kids with Kim Gaffett, the OVF Naturalist with the TNC. All kids welcome! Come join us outdoors at the library.
Saturdays: 10:30 a.m. Kid Yoga – Yoga for kids that everyone can do! Join us on the Island Free Library YouTube channel.
(While Lapsit Storytime is paused for February, we would love to see you for Music Time and Healthy Kids.)

Tuesday: March 8 at 11 a.m. Join Pastor Peter Preiser for “Timely Tuesday Talks.” Each week will feature a different topic. Zoom in or stop by and join us.
Tuesdays: 5:30 p.m. Stitch Together: Bring your projects (knitting, crochet, weaving, or embroidering) for crafting and conversations. All ages and skill levels welcome – bring your problems and questions - help is available!
Tuesday: March 8 at 6 p.m. Join family, friends, and allies for a discussion on pronouns and gender identities. On Zoom or in person.
Tuesdays: 6 p.m. Clase de ingles/English Language Class on Zoom.
Wednesday: March 16 at 4 p.m. The Island Free Library and Senior Advisory Committee will sponsor In Our Kitchens, St. Patrick’s Day.
Saturdays: 10 a.m. Mah Jongg. Join us for a fun game of Mah Jongg in Room A at the Island Free Library. Do not know how to play? No problem - we will show you.
Saturdays: 3 p.m. Frankenstein Tea. Short stories for adult listeners on YouTube.
Wake Up Well Podcast
Block Island’s community podcast, Wake Up Well, continues its second season and continues to ask questions about personal well-being and our collective responsibility and power to keep the island well. Prayer for peace in Ukraine
This weekend, the entire community is invited to Prayer for Peace in Ukraine. Saturday, March 5 at noon at Harbor Church. All are invited to attend. Prayer guides will be provided.
Webinar for restaurant and food truck operators
The Block Island Chamber of Commerce is hosting a webinar for restaurant and food truck operators with Usefull Founder and CEO Alison Rogers on Monday March 7 at noon. W.O.W. Extravaganzas, Weekly On Wednesdays 3-5 p.m.
Come be a part of the weekly free clothing exchange for Block Island families. Clothes of every size, shape, age, and gender are welcome. Drop off clothes to donate and pick up something to take home, all items free. Located in the basement of the Saint Andrew Parish Center on Spring Street. Wednesdays, March 9, March 16. Caretakers Support Group
The Caregivers Support Group will be meeting in person at the Community Center on Thursday, Mar. 10, at 4 p.m.. Meetings are free of charge and will be held every other week. Contact Kerri Gaffett at email@example.com for questions.
Senior Ride Service
Open to island seniors (60 and over) and persons with special needs as well as caretakers without transportation. Helping Hands Food Pantry
Helping Hands food pantry will be held on Wednesday, March 9, at 12 to 2:30 p.m. at the Harbor Church. Masks required and please bring reusable bags. Heavy rain day will be Thursday. The next Helping Hands food pantry will be on Mar. 23
