The Island Free Library invites everyone to participate in the programs listed below.

11 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Please remember face masks are required while visiting the library.
*** KIDS’ PROGRAMS ***
Tuesdays: Take & Make Craft Kits for preschoolers are available for pick-up.
Tuesdays: 10:30 a.m. Music Time with Ms. Carrie, Ages 6 months to 5 years old. Join us on Facebook or in person.
Wednesdays: 10:30 a.m. Lapsit Story Time for ages 0 to 2. Stories, songs, and fingerplays at the library with Ms. Morgan.
Thursdays: 10:30 a.m. Preschool Storytime for ages 3 to 5 years with Ms. Morgan. Read, sing, dance and play! Join us on Facebook or in person.
Fridays: 10:30 a.m. Healthy Kids with Kim Gaffett, the OVF Naturalist with the TNC. All kids welcome! Come join us outdoors at the library.
*** TEEN PROGRAMS ***
Tuesdays: 5 p.m. Dungeons and Dragons. Grades 6 through 12 are invited to come to play or learn.
*** ADULT PROGRAMS ***
Tuesdays: 5:30 p.m. Stitch Together: Bring your projects (knitting, crochet, weaving, or embroidering) for crafting and conversations. All ages and skill levels welcome – bring your problems and questions - help is available!
Tuesdays: Clase de ingles/English Language Class returns in-person at the library. La clase de ingles sera en la biblioteca hoy. Beginner class: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Intermediate/advanced: 6:40 to 7:50. Individual tutoring is available weekdays.
Wednesday: Book Group, April 6. The Island Free Library and Senior Advisory Committee will continue the discussion of “Jazz,” by Toni Morrison. Stop by the library for more details and to pick up a copy.
Saturdays: 10 a.m. Mah Jongg. Join us for a fun game of Mah Jongg in Room A at the Island Free Library. Do not know how to play? No problem - we will show you.
Saturday: April 9. Save the date! Come learn the Ukrainian art form of decorating “Pysanky Eggs,” which are a symbol of peace for Ukraine. Registration is required. All materials will be provided.
Wake Up Well Podcast
Block Island's community podcast, Wake Up Well, continues its second season and continues to ask questions about personal well-being and our collective responsibility and power to keep the island well. Movie and Munchies
Movie and Munchies returns to Harbor Church. Friday, April 1: “West Side Story,” a modern adaptation of the 1957 musical by producer and director Steven Spielberg. Single-serving snacks and beverages will be served. Film begins at 6:30 p.m.
Making Strides for Mental Health
5K Walk or run for mental health, Thursday, April 7, 3:30 p.m. at Block Island School. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up. All donations (cash or check only) will go to NAMI-BI.
Caretakers Support Group
The Caregivers Support Group will be meeting in person at the Community Center on Thursday, April 7, at 4 p.m.. Meetings are free of charge and will be held every other week. Contact Kerri Gaffett at email@example.com for questions.
Senior Ride Service
Open to island seniors (60 and over) and persons with special needs as well as caretakers without transportation. Helping Hands Food Pantry
Helping Hands food pantry will be held on Wednesday, April 6, at 12 to 2:30 p.m. at the Harbor Church. Masks required and please bring reusable bags. Heavy rain day will be Thursday. The next Helping Hands food pantry will be on April 20.

Bo Gempp Shellfish Restoration Fund Drive-through Benefit
There will be a “Chowderfest from the-North” drive-through benefit for the Bo Gempp Shellfish Restoration Fund on Monday, April 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. with New England Clam Chowder and smooth, delicious Lobster Bisque made, and flash-frozen, in Maine. St. Ann’s tag sale - donations requested
St. Ann’s-by-the-Sea will be holding a tag sale and fair on Saturday, June 25. They will be accepting donations on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please, no mattresses, books, electronics, or clothing.
