Gordon Park MacDougall, 59
Gordon Park MacDougall, 59, a 32-year resident of Arlington, Virginia, and lifelong part-time resident on Block Island, died peacefully on April 25, 2016, from pancreatic cancer. He is survived by sons George Edward MacDougall, and Colin Hall MacDougall; and Carol Noyes MacDougall and Carine Drouin. He is also survived by Barbara Park MacDougall, Douglas Edward MacDougall, Hallie MacDougall Quirk, and Susan Brown MacDougall.
Gordon was a loving father and friend. He served in the Illinois Legislative Branch from 1984 to 1987 and subsequently worked as a consultant to nonprofit organizations on improving the lives of disadvantaged individuals, families, and communities. He was an avid fisherman, skier, and golfer. His greatest joy was time spent with family and friends, particularly on Block Island, where he contributed his time to The Committee for the Great Salt Pond and The Southeast Lighthouse Foundation.
