Harbors to continue following state guidelines
The following was issued by Harbormaster Kate McConville:
Moving forward, the Harbors Department will be following the Rhode Island State regulations and R.I. Department of Environmental Management guidelines. These can be found at https://www.dem.ri.gov.
Marina facilities are limited to seasonal slip holders only. The use of marina facilities by transient and out-of-state vessels is prohibited for now, but they may get fuel or water. Out-of-state vessels still need to self quarantine for 14 days. Please be sure to contact your marina before you come over.
We will be installing our emergency and town moorings next week for those vessels who do not want to anchor. Rafting will not be permitted on moorings for now. We have pumpout service in New Harbor.
Out of state vessels must register with the Department of Health and can follow the link: https://health.ri.gov/covid.
Adhere to social distancing guidelines and protocols.
When you arrive, I ask you contact the Harbormaster on VHF CH 12.
Things are changing weekly, so for any other concerns and questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office at 1 (401) 466-3204.
