New Shoreham has had a change in its state Senate District as a result of the 2020 Census. New Shoreham has the following district representation:
US Representative District #2 –Currently Representative James Langevin
US Senator – Currently Senator Jack Reed and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse
Senate District changing from District #37 to District #36 – Currently State Senator Susan Sosnowski
Representative District #36 – Currently State Representative Blake Filippi

Paper ballot process and production
Staffing roles during the meeting

SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
Separate sealed BIDS are solicited to purchase the following from the Town:

Includes approximately 1,200 ft of 5”large diameter hose (which has not been tested)
Minimum bid is $3,000.00. Vehicle is being sold as is and must be removed within 48 hours of successful bid. Vehicle may be seen at Ferrara Mechanical Services, Inc.

Bids will be received in the Office of the Town Manager until 1:00 p.m. (Local Time) on April 12, 2022 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
Sealed bids must be submitted in an envelope addressed to Town Manager, P.O. Box 220, Block Island, RI 02807. The Town Manager reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities.

Reminder: 2022 Dog Licenses
All dog licenses expire on April 30.
Dog owners are required to renew dog licenses annually by May 1.
New licenses are available at any time for puppies over six (6) months and dog owners who move here.
No license shall be required for any puppy under the age of six (6) months.
To renew your dog’s license:
Bring in or mail the information required (below), to Town Clerk’s Office, PO Box 220, Block Island, RI 02807 (with a self-addressed stamped envelope). We will return the rabies certificate to you along with the new dog license, O-ring and tag via US Mail.
Owner’s name, fire number with the street name, mailing address (including town, state and zip code), telephone number and e-mail address.
Dog’s name, breed, and color
Current Rabies Vaccination Certificate (including Vet’s name and phone number)
$6.00 Check made out to the Town of New Shoreham
