Request for Proposals
Housing

The New Shoreham School Department is seeking proposals for the rental of a house during the 2022-2023 school year. The house will be used for overnight stays
for part-time employees. This is not a bid, but a request for proposals and an award will be made on the basis of the following criteria.
1. Location - must be favorable along High Street between downtown and the school.
2. Cost - monthly rent with preferred inclusion of all utilities.
3. Size - minimally three bedrooms with five beds and two bathrooms, preference for four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
4. Availability - preference for the entire school year (start date Labor Day evening through the last day of school in June) but negotiable.
5. Condition and suitability - the condition of the house and its contents and the overall suitability of the property to the needs of the district. Must have washer
and dryer, Wi-Fi, fully furnished, and fully equipped kitchen.
Proposals are to be delivered to the Block Island School up until noon on Monday, December 13, 2021. Proposals shall include how each of the listed criteria is met. The New Shoreham School Department reserves the right to inspect all houses, waive informalities, and negotiate terms. The award shall be for one year with the ability to extend for two additional years (total of three years).
