To the Editor:
“For whom the truck tows, it tows for us all.”
Truly, Pete Mott has spoiled the island with his AAA-endorsed services.
On July 3, 2018, my son borrowed a car. It broke down on West Side Road after midnight. The car’s front axle broke and electrical systems failed. Thanks to the vigilance of New Shoreham Police officers and the efforts of Pete Mott, a catastrophe was averted.
I am asking that the Block Island Economic Development Foundation assist Pete find a home for his auto shop.
Adjacent to the Post Office is the perfect lot. I can’t recall whether it is a parcel owned by BIED or the Town of New Shoreham.
Maybe Town Hall should become involved, as well, as the island also needs an official car inspection station.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
