The Lobster Pot Tree: A tradition

Tue, 11/21/2017 - 4:45pm

The lobster pot tree, after seven years, is now an annual tradition by the Old Harbor Task Force, traditionally lighted on Thanksgiving eve. Island volunteers, headed up by Harold “Turtle” Hatfield, constructed the tree, which is built entirely of lobster pots. Island kids sold baked good and treats during the building of the tree to raise funds for the OHTF. The tree will be lit until January.
