07/17/10 - The Public Utilities Commission has granted intervenor status to 13 entities in the latest round of hearings for the new wind farm contract reached between Deepwater Wind and National Grid.

These include the town, Deepwater Wind, the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, Rhode Island Building and Construction Trades Council, the Conservation Law Foundation, Rhode Island Division of Public Utilities and Carriers, Polytop Corporation, Toray Plastics, TransCanada Ltd., Attorney General Patrick Lynch, “Citizens” — including Thomas and Patricia Doyle, former Attorney General James O’Neill, Rosemarie and Jonathon Ives, Michael Beauregard and Rep. Laurence Ehrhardt — and Ocean State Policy Institute.

Except for the town, the RIEDC, the DPUC and the RIBCTC, most all of the intervenors will be taking adversarial positions vis-à-vis the new contract. For the hearing schedule and all related filings, see
