Norris Pike dies at 65

Norris Pike, descendant of early island settlers and committed public servant, father, grandfather, and husband, died at home on Friday, Nov. 24, surrounded by loved ones.

Pike, 65, was a master craftsman, putting his distinctive stamp on many island homes. Throughout his life, he served on several boards and committees, and was the town’s Second Warden at the time of his death. He is survived by his brother, Frederick Pike; son, Harry Pike, an attorney, a daughter, Dr. Lily Pike, a grandson, Jonah; of Providence, and wife Susan Pike, of Block Island.
