Paula Kay Mooney, 76
Paula Mooney, 76, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, Feb. 10. She grew up in Hummelstown, Penn., graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1964, resided in Attleboro, Mass., for the past 49 years, and spent time seasonally at her home on Block Island, R.I. She is the daughter of the late George and Anna Heister.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Michael; son Matthew Mooney (daughter in-law Barrie) of Attleboro, daughter Jennifer Beshel (son in-law David) of Melrose, daughter Kate Conlon (son in-law Patrick) of Andover; and nine grandchildren (Jordan, Ryann, Stefan, and Michael Mooney; Joey, Matty and Ella Beshel; Teagan and Quinn Conlon). She is also survived by a brother, Craig Heister of Hershey, Penn., and a sister, Georgeanne Nester of Hummelstown, Penn., along with several nieces and nephews.
Paula was a generous soul who had an affinity for helping those in need. She enjoyed reading, working on her crossword puzzles, riding her bike, and spending time in Waterville Valley, N.H. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Per her wishes, she will be mourned privately.
