IN RE:  BLOCK ISLAND POWER COMPANY

APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF FINANCING         :
NOTICE OF FILING AND PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to the provisions of the Rhode Island General Laws, §§ 39-1-1 and 39-3-15, as amended, the Division of Public Utilities and Carriers (the “Division”) will conduct a public hearing on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in Hearing Room A of the Division of Public Utilities and Carriers, located at 89 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, Rhode Island.
At this hearing, the Division will examine the propriety of an application filed by the Block Island Power Company seeking consent and approval to finance $566,400 from Caterpillar.  The loan will used to purchase a new diesel generator engine.
The application is on file for examination at the office of the Division and at the office of the Block Island Power Company, 100 Ocean Drive, Block Island, Rhode Island.  Reference is made to Chapters 39-1, 39-3 and 42-35 of the RI General Laws.
The Division of Public Utilities and Carriers is accessible to the handicapped.  Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired must notify the Clerk’s office at 780-2107 seventy-two hours in advance of hearing date.

ZONING MODIFICATION REQUEST
Parsons, Laura.  Assessors Plat 19, Lot 17-2.  Zoning Modification request is to construct a twelve foot six inch (12’6”) by eighty foot (80’) ground mounted solar array thirty seven feet six inches (37’6”) from the southern property line of Lot 17-2.  A fifty foot (50’) setback from all property lines is required in the Residential A (RA) Zone.  If no written objections are received by directly abutting property owners by 21 January 2012 the Zoning Modification will be granted.

STATE OF RHODE ISLAND AND PROVIDENCE PLANTATIONS Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management PUBLIC NOTICE The Director of the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, in accordance with the WATER QUALITY REGULATIONS, adopted in accordance with the Clean Water Act, as amended (33 U.S.C. 1251 et. seq.; Chapter 42-35 pursuant to Chapters 46-12 and 42-17.1 of the Rhode Island General Laws of 1956, as amended), hereby gives notice that Deepwater Wind Block Island, LLC and Deepwater Wind Block Island Transmission, LLC's (collectively "Deepwater Wind") applications for Water Quality Certification and Marine Dredging for the Block Island Wind Farm (BIWF) and the Block Island Transmission System (BITS), respectively, have been submitted. The complete BIWF and BITS Environmental Report is available at the  New Shoreham (Block Island) Town Hall, the Island Free Library on Block Island, the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library in Narragansett, and online at:  www.dwwind.com/block-island/block-island-project-overview. Any parties interested in making written comment concerning the above named applications for Water Quality Certification and Marine Dredging must do so by the end of the 60-day comment period on February 1, 2013. Public Notice
The New Shoreham School Committee, at its meeting held on Monday, November 19, 2012, approved the posting of the following policy for the required 30-day period prior to adoption:

Allison B & William Padien.  Plat 9, Lot 36-2.  Zoning Modification request is to construct an addition onto an existing Single Family Dwelling.  A portion of the proposed addition will be located forty seven (47’) feet from the northern property of Lot 36-2.  A fifty foot (50’) setback from all property lines in the Residential A (RA) Zoning District is required.  If no written objections are received from directly abutting property owners by 23 December 2012 the Modification will be granted.
