Third largest jet lands on Block Island
A Cessna Citation V made quite an impression landing at the Block Island State Airport. Not for the sound of its engines, which were fairly quiet when it took off at about 3 p.m. today. It was the third largest jet to land at the airport, according to Andy Transue, RIAC’s Airfield Technician.
Transue took The Times out to the airport’s infield to get a close up photo of the jet taking off. The privately owned jet did not take long to traverse the runway and liftoff into the air.
