The Times is looking for writers
The Block Island Times is looking for a general assignment reporter and web editor to join our small but mighty staff. Qualified candidates will have experience writing and working under deadline, preferably practicing journalism; can easily pick up new technology; are fluent in digital platforms, including social media and the web; and work well with others. S/he will be a careful observer of Island life and will be able to share this with our readers, both in print and online. Island residents are much preferred for this position.
The Times is also looking for part-time freelance writers to cover many areas, from education to sports to business.
