Trips Abroad — PrintSource
When driving through Wakefield, you have probably noticed PrintSource, a small, family-owned business that resides in a white house with a cheery yellow front door on Main St.
Although PrintSource has been in operation since 1977, it’s been in its current location since 2005. When you call or stop in, Lisa Edwards will most likely greet you. Lisa has been involved in the business dating back to 1977, when she worked there during summers and after school. She now co-owns the shop along with her mother. Her friendly and knowledgeable staff of five has been working together for many years, which allows PrintSource clients to be serviced by people who know and understand their needs.
In today’s world of technological advances, the goal at PrintSource is to keep up with the changes in the industry. “Even though some people do their own printing at home or in their office, when they need a larger quantity and/or better quality that’s when they come here,” says Lisa. Unlike online print companies, the staff looks at each and every piece that is printed. If something doesn’t look right, they question or fix it. They can also offer suggestions on style, size and process while staying on top of the current trends.
Lisa’s goal is to provide excellent customer service and quality at a fair price. “That is not always available online,” she says. “We have digital and offset printing of all kinds, but specialize in the needs of small- to medium- sized businesses. Typically, business collateral materials such as: letterhead, envelopes, business cards, along with brochures, sell sheets, rack cards, catalogues and newsletters.”
She adds, “We also do direct mail campaigns with post cards and self-mailers. In addition, we work with a lot of non-profits for their annual campaigns, special event initiations and programs. We also create banners, posters and signs.”
If you need help setting up and putting together your idea, the pre-press and graphic design department can help. They have the expertise and resources to make your finished work extremely appealing. When asked if they provide online services, Lisa explains that “We receive most files via email, but with our new website, we will have a new portal to upload files.”
“From our beginning and throughout the years, we’ve done a lot of work for people and businesses on Block Island. We even deliver right to the ferry!”
Lisa enjoys traveling to the island several times a year to visit with clients and, because, “It is such a beautiful place to visit!” she states.
PrintSource is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 128 Main St. in Wakefield. Call Lisa Edwards at (401) 789-9339 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for all of your printing needs. Don’t forget to mention you read about them in The Block Island Times!
