Volleyball ending strong
You heard it right. The girls varsity volleyball team is now 13 and 1, but the next and possibly biggest home game of the season will be on Saturday, Nov. 1 against St. Raphael’s Academy at 1 p.m. This game will determine the first seed going into the playoffs.
The Lady Hurricanes blew through Narragansett this weekend with a 3-0 victory over the Mariners. Floor Captain Moira O’Neill led the way for the Hurricanes with five kills, 10 aces, two digs, two blocks and 16 assists. Mikhaela Brown-Padien added nine kills, two aces and two digs. Charlotte Hall had eight kills, three blocks, and Sophie Mott had five kills, two aces and six assists. Libero Savannah Brown had nine digs. Others who added to the win over Narragansett were Amira Wilson with four kills and two blocks, Alison Pineda with three kills and one dig, and Lucy Rigby-Leather with three kills and one ace and four digs.
With the girls only in their second year of having a volleyball program, they have quickly become the talk of the season and may very well be the top seed going into playoffs. To find out, please come support the Lady Hurricanes at 1 p.m. at home.
