Patricia A. Pearson, 66
Patricia Ann Pearson passed away at home in Alexandria, Va., on January 18, 2013, in the arms of her loving husband after battling cancer for over five years.
Trish was born on March 10, 1946, and raised in Rockford, Ill., by her parents, Thomas James and Lilah May Clark. She received her B.A. in English and Sociology from Valparaiso University in Indiana where she met her lifelong love and husband of over 44 years, Ronald W. Pearson.
Trish’s professional life included working on Capitol Hill for the late Congressman John Rousselot, being a full-time mother, and after the children were grown, working at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, Va., where she brought laughter and happiness to the students and co-workers with her Christian faith, humor, and kind heart.
Her favorite and most important career, which spanned her lifetime, was being a loving, supportive wife to her husband, mother to Kathryn Caroline Pearson Tisdale and Ronald Clark Pearson; and grandmother to Kathryn and Travis Tisdale’s two children, Tyler Ronald and Kinsey Caroline. Trish dedicated her life to raising, caring for, and supporting her family, and took and gave great joy in this calling. Her return to God’s embrace will be profoundly felt by her coworkers, friends and family.
One of Trish’s favorite times of year was summer on Block Island, where she and her husband visited for many summers.
A funeral was held on Friday, January 25, at St. Andrew and St. Margaret of Scotland Anglican Catholic Church in Alexandria, Va. The officiants were the Right Reverend William McClean and the Venerable Thomas McHenry.
