Town Manager contract agreed to
The Town Council has finalized contract negotiations with Edward Roberge, the candidate selected in September to be the new Town Manager.
The Council approved the contract by a 4-1 vote, with Councilor Chris Willi dissenting, today, Wednesday, Nov. 8.
“The Town Council approved the Town Manager’s professional services contract and are forwarding it to Ed Roberge for his signature,” said Town Clerk Molly Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick noted that it is a draft document until it is signed and returned by Roberge. The Town Council will vote on the final document at its Nov. 15 meeting.
As for when he might start, Roberge said he intends to start around the first or second week of January. “I’m very excited,” he said. “I’m ready to move forward with the town.”
Roberge also said he is getting closer to finalizing his housing situation.
