David Ellis Todd, 74
February 21,1947 — January 13, 2021.
A cigar cutter. Various pieces of sailing rope. A copy of the Declaration of Independence. These are but a few things that defined the complex and humorous man known to most as Dave Todd.
David Todd passed away on January 13, 2021, from a terminal illness.
He spent most of his life living and working on Block Island, R.I. He was an avid sailor, an electrician, a decorated Vietnam Veteran, a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, a husband, and a friend to many.
He was the son of the late Harold “Mac” Todd and the late Joyce Phyllis Todd. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Todd, his sister Phyllis Todd, his brother Peter Todd, his stepmother Carrie Todd and his nieces Elizabeth Tetzner and Debbie Kanosh.
He was also the uncle to the late Wren Ritzinger and Jodie Rizzo.
David was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
At David’s request, there will be no memorial service.
