HealthSourceRI enrollment extended
The following was sent to The Block Island Times by HealthSourceRI:
Following President Biden’s announcement on Thurs. Jan. 28, HealthSourceRI has established a new enrollment period to give Rhode Islanders additional time to sign up for health coverage. Uninsured Rhode Islanders can enroll for coverage that will be effective as early as March 1. HealthSource RI enrollment period will continue through May 15, 2021.
This enrollment period is open to all eligible uninsured Rhode Islanders, with no requirement to have a qualifying life event to enroll in health coverage. Coverage starts the first of the month following a complete enrollment.
“The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic continues to be a painful reality for many Rhode Islanders. HealthSource RI is here to ensure that people have every opportunity to sign up for health coverage,” said Lindsay Lang, Director of HealthSource RI. “Many Rhode Islanders face everyday life without the protection and peace of mind that having high-quality, low- or no cost coverage can offer. We encourage you to reach out to us now and get covered. We are the only source for financial help, and 80 percent of current customers receive financial help.”
Rhode Islanders in need of coverage may also contact HealthSource RI today to begin their applications or learn about their coverage options.
